April 29 (SeeNews) - Romanian provider of geological and geophysical prospecting services Prospectiuni [BSE:PRSN] said on Monday its net profit soared to 30.7 million lei ($6.6 million/6.2 million euro) last year, from 10.4 million lei in 2022.
The company's net turnover surged to 246.7 million lei last year, from 175.1 million lei in 2022, it said in a financial report filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
Prospectiuni's results improved significantly thanks to an increase in the volume of works done in projects involving the acquisition of geophysical data, it said. Last year, the company carried out 3D seismic works across a total purchase area of 1,480 sq km and 2D seismic works on a purchase length of 162 km. Comparatively, in 2022, the company had carried out 3D works on a surface of 1,132 sq km.
Prospectiuni's net assets amounted to 155.1 million lei at the end off 2023, up from 125.7 million lei a year earlier.
The company's main shareholders are Tender SA at 55.7% and SIF Muntenia SA with an 11.83% stake. The remainder is in free float on the Bucharest bourse.
Prospectiuni’s shares traded 0.45% lower at 0.219 lei as at 1646 CET on Monday.
