May 2 (SeeNews) - Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) said on Thursday that its after-tax profit from Kosovo operations rose to 10 million euro ($10.7 million) in the first quarter of 2024, from 9 million euro in the prior-year period.
Net interest income grew 19% to 18 million euro in the January-March quarter, while net fee and commission income fell 9% year-on-year at 3 million euro, RBI said in an interim quarterly financial report.
Operating income increased 13% on the year to 23 million euro in the review period.
Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo was the largest lender in terms of assets among 11 banks operating in the country at the end of the first quarter, according to Kosovo’s banks' association.
In January, RBI said that its after-tax profit from Kosovo operations rose 6.6% to 31 million euro in 2023.
