April 29 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's lender NLB Banka [MSE:TNB], part of Slovenian banking group Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB), said that its net profit went down 15.5% on the year in the first quarter of 2024, to 678.3 million denars ($11.8 million/11 million euro).
The bank's net interest income added 24.9% year-on-year to 1.2 billion denars in the period under review, while net fee and commission income fell 1.1% to 320.4 million denars, NLB Banka said in an interim financial statement on Friday.
The bank's total assets increased to 116.6 billion denars at the end of March from 116.4 billion denars at the end of 2023.
Loans and advances to customers other than banks rose to 75.1 billion denars at the end of March from 74.1 billion denars at the end of last year, while deposits from such customers fell to 91.8 billion denars from 92.5 billion denars.
NLB Banka's shares traded at an average price of 39,237 denars on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) on Friday, according to latest bourse data.
