April 29 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's fuel retailer Makpetrol [MSE:MPT] booked a net profit of 164.2 million denars ($2.9 million/2.7 million euro) in the first quarter of 2024, up 39% year-on-year, it said on Monday.
Total operating revenues amounted to 6.7 billion denars in the period under review, down 4% on the year, the company said in an interim financial statement.
Domestic sales were flat year-on-year at 6.6 billion denars, while sales abroad went down 77% to 68 million denars in the January-March period.
Makpetrol's operating expenses totalled 6.5 billion denars, down 4% on an annual comparison basis.
Makpetrol has a network of over a hundred filling stations across North Macedonia. The company also has units in neighbouring Serbia and Greece.
Makpetrol's shares last traded at an average price of 73,070 denars on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) on Friday, bourse data showed.
