BELGRADE (Serbia), Mar 12, 2010 -- (InPR) -- After a number of years representing Germany's Nord-zucker AG, one of Europe's leading sugar producers, with regard to its operations in Serbia, Wolf Theiss has now advised them in an M&A transaction which marks Nordzucker's exit from the Serbian market.

Wolf Theiss attorneys negotiated and structured the M&A transaction whereby Nordzucker has sold its shares to their joint venture partner in Serbia, Agri Holding AG, part of the MK Group. The sale was effective Wednesday. Wolf Theiss partner Miroslav Stojanovic, head of the Belgrade office, served as the lead attorney in the transaction, with assistance from senior associate Katarina Minic.

"We have represented Nordzucker from the beginning, setting up the joint-venture that ini-tially brought them to Serbia," said Stojanovic, noting that at the time Nordzucker controlled 40 percent of the Serbian sugar-market. "Now we have come full circle, and we're glad to have been of service to Nordzucker in a deal which is to the benefit of all parties involved."
