Decrease of industrial production in October 2008 in comparison with same month of previous year for 9.9%

According to the State Statistical Office data, the industrial production index in the Republic of Macedonia in October 2008 in comparison with October 2007 is 90.1.

The industrial production index in the Republic of Macedonia in October 2008 in comparison with average production in 2005 is 111.6.

The industrial production in the section Mining and quarrying in October 2008 in comparison with average production in 2005 is increased by 43.5%, in the section Manufacturing industry is increased by 13.5% and in the section Electricity, gas and water supply is decreased by 11.4%.

The industrial production by Main Industrial Groups in October 2008 in comparison with average production in 2005 is bigger in Energy by 0.7%, Intermediate goods industries, except energy by 15.3%, Capital goods industries by 3.7%, Durable consumer goods industries by 48.2% and in Non-Durable consumer goods industries by 12.4%.

The industrial production index in the Republic of Macedonia in period January - October 2008 in comparison with January - October 2007 is 108.1.
