



































BUCHAREST (Romania), February 18 (SeeNews) - Romanian brokerage SSIF broker on Monday reported a preliminary net profit of 36.09 million lei ($14.5 million/9.9 million euro) for 2007, almost double the 18.68 million lei it earned in the previous year.
“In the conditions of a positive trend on the stock market last year, especially in the first seven months, the earnings obtained through investments in shares listed on the [Bucharest] bourse and the derivatives market in Sibiu have contributed to the company’s total profit to a large extent,” it said in a statement to the Bucharest Stock exchange (BVB).
SSIF broker's shares, part of BVB’s blue-chip BET index, fell 1.49% to 1.99 lei on Monday. The results were announced after the end of trading hours on the BVB.
