


































SOFIA (Bulgaria), April 8 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian franchise unit of Hungarian frozen bakery goods maker Fornetti will open in the autumn a 6.0 million euro ($7.96 million) plant, Bulgarian Pari daily reported on Wednesday.
The launch of the plant is expected to raise Fornetti's sales in Bulgaria to 600 tonnes per month from the current 450 tonnes per month, Pari (www.pari.bg) quoted one of the two owners of the Bulgarian unit, Marin Karailiev, as saying. Currently, Fornetti's bakery products sold in Bulgaria are imported from Hungary.
The plant, with an area of 4,000 square metres, is located in Ihtiman, some 30 kilometers south of the capital Sofia.
Fornetti's Bulgarian unit operates 360 stores around the country. According to Pari, the company holds 70% of the local frozen bakery goods market.
In southeast Europe, Fornetti is also present in Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Albania.
