


































German discount retailer Penny market, part of the Rewe Group, will open a hypermarket in Svilengrad, Southern Bulgaria.
The news was announced by Sofia-based company Business BG Group which recently won a municipal competition to design and build the scheme.
Under the terms of the contract with the municipality, the project should cost at least 1 mln levs and create 40 jobs.
According to preliminary investment project presented by Business BG Group, the Penny market outlet will be part of City Point Park, a commercial complex with a 5,000 sq m footprint. A 1,578 sq m lot from the City Point Park site will be earmarked for the supermarket of the German retailer.
City Point Park will also feature bank office, pharmacy, cafe and 68-car parking lot.
Svilengrad is a town with 20,000 population located near the Bulgarian borders with Greece and Turkey.
