BANJA LUKA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), October 21 (SeeNews) – The government of Bosnia’s Serb Republic and General Electric will sign on Thursday a cooperation protocol for 400 million euro ($532 million) energy, transport and healthcare investments in this part of Bosnia, a Bosnian daily reported on Tuesday.
“The protocol will be the starting point for cooperation between the Serb Republic and General Electric,” daily newspaper Nezavisne Novine quoted the head of the government’s public relations office, Vera Sajic, as saying.
The value of the planned contracts will be 400 million euro, Nezavisne reported. GE will take part in the modernisation of the Serb Republic’s railways, invest in energy projects, supply aircraft for the region’s air carrier Sky Srpska and equipment to its healthcare facilities, the newspaper said.
The Serb Republic is one of the two autonomous parts of war-divided Bosnia. The other is the Muslim-Croat Federation.
