


































Bulgarian CBA Asset management unveiled its first hypermarket in the northern town of Veliko Tarnovo on March 27, 2008.
The store worth over 2.0 mln Bulgarian levs ($1.6 mln/1.0 mln euro) is part of Trade Park Veliko Tarnovo and will be run by subsidiary CBA Veliko Tarnovo. The outlet offers an 80-car parking lot.
CBA will open a hypermarket in Sofia on April 3, 2008. The next roll-out is planned for the central town of Gabrovo.
The chain runs 15 supermarkets and several new ones will open in the capital Sofia and eastern Bulgaria shortly.
After CBA wraps up the acquisition of the Burlex 104 chain, based in the Black Sea city of Varna, the number of its outlets will reach 29. Burlex has stores in Varna, northeastern Dobrich, and coastal Provadia and Kavarna.
CBA Asset management will boost its combined retail space to 16,600 sq m by mid-2008. The chain was listed on the Bulgarian Stock exchange in January.
