


































SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), March 21 (SeeNews) – The net profit of Bosnia’s biggest power utility Elektroprivreda BiH more than doubled last year to some 11.5 million marka ($9.0 million/5.8 million euro), figures from the company showed on Friday.
Following are details from Elektroprivreda BiH’s 2007 financial report, filed to the Sarajevo Stock exchange (SASE), where the company is listed (in millions of Bosnian marka):

The company assets totalled 3.564 billion marka at the end of 2007, up from 3.560 billion marka a year earlier. Its shares last closed at 84.50 marka on March 20, after closing at 85.50 marka on March 19, according to SASE data.
Elektroprivreda BiH said earlier this month it expected a 3.5% rise in its electricity output this year to 6,771 gigawatthours, revenue of 824 million marka and profit of 6.0 million marka.
The company has said it plans to invest in building new capacities and upgrading existing ones. The total planned investment for this year is 300 million marka, it said.
Elektroprivreda BiH has also said it expects to have a surplus of 2,200 gigawatthours of electricity in 2009 and sell it for 350 million to 400 million marka in a public tender.
Elektroprivreda BiH is the largest of Bosnia's three state-owned power utilities and operates in the Muslim-Croat Federation, which together with the Serb Republic forms war-divided Bosnia. Elektroprivreda HZ HB, the smallest one, is also based in the Federation, while Elektroprivreda RS is the power utility of the Serb Republic.
