EU Term President Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt in Skopje
Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt (EU term President), who arrived unannounced in the evening in Macedonia, had a meeting with Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and Foreign Minister Antonio Milososki.
During the meeting they discussed about the name dispute between Macedonia and Greece, as well as reforms that Macedonia has to implement to be incorporated into the European Union.
This visit is made day before Gruevski-Papandreou meeting in Pili.
The prime ministers of Macedonia and Greece are set to meet today in a fresh bid to resume dialogue ahead of EU Council meeting in December, when Macedonia expects to get a nod for start of EU membership talks.
The two prime ministers are to meet this evening in the hamlet of Pili, Greek part of natural reservation near Prespa Lake which stretches on the territories of Macedonia, Greece and Albania.
The meeting of Prime Ministers Nikola Gruevski and George Papandreou is expected to improve the atmosphere between the two countries. Nonetheless, nobody expects that today's encounter could end up with a resolution of the long-running dispute on Macedonia's name. There is a small chance of major breakthrough emerging from the protracted row.
Greece is insisting that the name dispute be resolved before Macedonia is allowed to continue its road to the European Union though Macedonia has already won a backing by the European Commission.
The Macedonian PM is scheduled to meet EC President Jose Manuel Barroso on December 2. Five days later, EU Council will decide whether Macedonia will get a date for start of accession negotiations with EU.

THE PUBLIC REVENUE OFFICE
The names of the persons whose earnings during the last year reached millions of denars are under the protection of the law for personal data and will be announced after the end of the procedure. The Public Revenue Office will open special tax arrangements for the first fifty people of the list of reported annual tax revenues.
Officials from the PRO claim that in Macedonia these people are protected with special law for personal data, unlike the ones in the developed countries where everyone knows who they are. The Office will perform special tax proceedings or investigation of the origin of the properties in order to determine any possible connection between the Business persons who reported major taxes.
EU PARLIAMENT
European Parliament adopted the draft-resolution on the European Union's 2009 enlargement strategy and recommended to the EU Council to set a date for opening accession negotiations with Macedonia.
The draft-resolution, which was adopted by majority of MEP, is not a deadline for solving name dispute with Greece, but encourages both countries to strengthen their relations and find an acceptable solution.
In the frameworks of EP discussion on starting negotiations with Macedonia, Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt and EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn expressed hope that EU will adopt EC recommendation on December 7 and start negotiations with Macedonia.
