KOLBOW FOR MACEDONIAN NAME DISPUTE

Greater initiative from Spanish EU presidency and greater support by Germany in solving name issue between Macedonia and Greece is needed. President of German- Macedonian association, Walter Kolbow made the remarks in an interview for Deutsche Welle into Macedonian language . “There is no movement in EU’s position regarding name issue and support for Macedonia. I’m sad for this situation, because as you all know German Bundestag has supported Macedonia in name issue since 2004. But, the government didn’t do much to support Macedonia in the future”, Kolbow noted.
He said in order to solve name issue Spanish EU presidency should make greater efforts.
“You can’t be left on status quo. Chancellor Merkel must point this out to Papandreou. That’s necessary”, Kolbow pointed out.
He said that one of the keys to solving name issue is Paris. “French President Sarkozy supports Greece’s position and doesn’t help much in solving name issue. Macedonian side is open for a discussion and that is why it needs a support, which will be practiced by the government”, Walter Kolbow said.

Naumovskii stressed that the conferral of the right for managing the funds from the EU Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance in the area of the rural development (IPA Fifth Component –IPARD) to the Republic of Macedonia has shown that the country has the necessary administrative capacities, expertise and knowledge for managing the European preaccession funds in the area of the rural development.
The use of IPARD program brings a significant benefit to capacity- building for inclusion in the EU common agricultural policy funds once Macedonia joins the EU. EU Ambassador Fouere said Macedonia makes a decisive step towards the EU's policy on agriculture and rural development. "Besides the support to rural development, the purpose of this component is to prepare the candidate-country for more effective utilization of rural development funds once it joins the EU," Fouere said.

The first European pyramid to be discovered was the Bosnian Pyramid, Visocica Hill. It is located in the heart of Bosnia, in the town of Visoko.
