BANKING SECTOR

The total amount of loans in respect of deposits is 90 percent which means 10 percent is unused potential, and plus credit lines from abroad. That should provide enough money for the private sector, said Director of Stopanska Bank Gligor Bishev today on the promotion of new bodies in the Economic Chamber of Macedonia.
According Bishev, companies have a significant interest for loans from the European Investment Bank (EIB), but given the limited amounts and the respective three-year period for a refund, demand is limited.
- Banks have their own funds for financing investment projects and for working capital. The combination of bank credit and loans from the EIB, on credit growth and support of businesses will be significant said Bishev.
- Depending on the actual movements, ideas, opportunities and situations, the Chamber of Commerce will countinue to take initiatives and to discuss with the government to find and create the environment for management in which companies can realize their profitable projects that are export oriented, Director emphasized. The most difficult part of the activities noted Bishev still remains on the companies.

The Cyrillic alphabet was developed in the First Bulgarian Empire in the tenth century to write texts in the Old Church Slavonic liturgical language. The alphabet that was originally created by St. Cyril and St. Methodius is known as the Glagolithic alphabet (Glagolica). One of their disciples, Clement of Ohrid (Kliment Ohridski), simplified the Glagolica into a new alphabet which was called Cyrillic. In the following centuries this alphabet was adopted by other Slav peoples - Russians, Croats, Serbs, Belarusians and Ukrainians. With the accession of Bulgaria to the European Union on January 1, 2007 the Cyrillic alphabet became the third official alphabet of the EU.
