RENEWABLE ENERGY PRODUCTION UNTIL 2020
Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MANU) announces that in Macedonia, 21 percent of energy will be produced from renewable recourses by 2020. At the moment, renewable energy accounts for 13.8 percent.
Macedonian Economy Minister Fatmir Besimi, who addressed the participants during the discussion on base study for renewable energy sources, said that focus and the aim of this strategy is to develop the renewable energy production, which is important for the sustainable growth and living environment.
“Macedonia will have a good document, which will increase energy development in the future and try to be in line with EU standards in terms of renewable energy”, added Besimi.
The strategy covered all energy facilities that produce renewable energy such as small hydro-plants, wind power plant, solar power plants, precisely all energy sources which guarantee protection of the living environment.
MACEDONIAN FOREIGN INVESTMENT AGENCY
Turkish company Sisecam will come to Macedonia in order to specify when it will launch the agreed project of constructing a glass factory, says Viktor Mizo, head of the Macedonian Foreign Investment Agency.
Korean company Triview is to build a factory for the production of LCD TVs and computers in Bunardzik. According to the contract, the factory foundation should be finished by the end of the summer.
Moreover, the construction of Agrokor’s purchasing centre is certain, as the company has already paid for the land in Strumica some ten days ago. "These investments were announced already last year, and the Macedonian government, local self-government and the companies worked on preparing the field in order to protect the investments," Mizo said.
GOVERNEMENT PROMOTES FOURTH PACKAGES OF ANTI-CRISIS MEASURES
Package comprising 24 measures targeting the areas such as tax policy, crediting, land policy, property and legal affairs, agriculture, civil engineering, social policy, as well as measures in the field of regulatory guillotine are part of the fourth anti-crisis measures the Government adopted at its session.
- New package of measures is a result of a serious and continuous dialogue between government institutions and the Business sector, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said at press conference at the Government, presenting the new package of anti-crisis measures.
He pointed out that new anti-crisis measures would not bring about spectacular results since, as he said, major and most important measures were already undertaken in 2009, and they have provided, to a large extent, and are still providing support to the companies.
