DID USA MAKE A MODEL FOR MACEDONIAN NAME DISPUTE?
The US administration wants to end the name issue between Skopje and Athens with the name "Republic of Northern Macedonia", thus giving Skopje Macedonian nation and Macedonian language, Greek daily reported on Monday. In the headline "American trap for name", the leftist newspaper Eleftherotypia quotes senior US officials who spoke on condition of anonymity. The paper sees the US proposal as a trap for Greece, adding that the clarification about the use of the name would be left aside for further negotiations though Greece is insisting on erga omnes (in relation to everyone). Elefterotypia says the United States piled pressure lately, pushing for timely solution. The ongoing pressure is reminiscent of the one before the NATO summit in Bucharest. Namely, the US makes a push on both sides to focus in the name issue only, and that later, according to the UN glossary, both the language and the nation be Macedonians. And Greece would be deprived of any opportunity to thwart it. The newspaper is critical of the moves by the US administration in the past 10 months, i.e. since Barack Obama took up the office, and the Americans' allegations that Greeks are inconsistent in the course of negotiations and that they keep shifting their objectives.

The plans of both companies provide investment in new technologies that will contribute to strengthen the leading position in the market and investing in additional services to ensure competitiveness in the market and meet the needs and demands of consumers. Under the plan, the main activity in 2010 for T-Mobile Macedonia will be further development of mobile broadband technology (3G), and priority will be the Macedonian Telecom investments for the development of optical network convergence of fixed and mobile services and the promotion of new top telecommunications services and solutions. TOURISM IN Macedonia
Expensive plane tickets are an obstacle for tourism development in Macedonia. Neighbor countries already took measures at their airports for cheaper services. According to tourist workers right now was the time to draw the attention of foreigners since the mass tourism is no longer in the center. But they say the crisis justifies only cheap arrangements, precisely because of high transport costs. Good international promotion, subsidies for tourism workers and investment in infrastructure in Macedonia may soon contribute to a large influx of foreign currency from the world's second profitable branch. With the opening of borders for Macedonian citizens, the state will deteriorate further. The number of domestic tourists are expected to decline further, from the beginning of the year to October was down nearly 6 percent.
