TIRANA (Albania), March 20 (SeeNews) - Albania's central bank will auction 8.0 billion leks ($110 million/64.98 million euro) worth of six- and 12-month Treasury bills on March 26, the bank said on Thursday.

The central bank, which auctions government securities on behalf of the Finance Ministry, will offer 3.5 billion leks of six-month T-bills maturing on September 25, and 12-month T-bills worth 4.5 billion leks maturing on March 26, 2009.

The Bank of Albania ( www.bankofalbania.org ) auctions lek-denominated three-month T-bills weekly, usually on Tuesdays, and six-month and 12-month T-bills twice a month, also on Tuesdays.

The bank will not offer three-month T-bills next week.

The bank has auctioned T-bills worth 77.11 billion leks in par value since the beginning of the year. Last year it auctioned T-bills worth 386.83 billion leks in par value. In 2006 it sold 460.13 billion leks worth of T-bills, compared to 465.2 billion leks in 2005.
