


































TIRANA (Albania), March 18 (SeeNews) - Albania's central bank will auction on Tuesday 2.5 billion leks ($31.68 million/20.1 million euro) in two-year Treasury notes, the Finance Ministry said.
The T-notes, offered by the Finance Ministry, bear an 8.35% coupon, carry an issue date of March 20 and mature on March 20, 2010. The Finance Ministry will release the results of the auction later this month.
At the previous auction held on February 18 the central bank sold 3.0 billion leks in two-year T-notes. The issue bears a 8.40% coupon and yielded 8.40%, up from the 8.35% achieved at the previous auction, held in January.
The central bank holds auctions for two-year T-notes every month. It also holds weekly auctions of three-month T-bills and auctions six-month and 12-month T-bills twice a month. Once in three months it auctions three-year and five-year T-notes.
Since the beginning of the year the bank has sold 6.5 billion leks in two year T-notes.
