


































TIRANA (Albania), March 17 (SeeNews) - Albania sold 3.0 billion leks ($38 million/24.1 million euro) in two-year Treasury notes, as yields rose, the country's Finance Ministry said on Monday.
Dealers placed bids worth 3.15 billion leks in the government securities auction held on February 18, the ministry said in a statement.
The T-notes yielded 8.40%, up from 8.35% achieved in the previous auction held in January. The government paper, which carries a coupon of 8.40%, has an issue date of February 20 and will mature on February 20, 2010.
Albania's central bank, which auctions government securities on behalf of the Finance Ministry, holds auctions of two-year T-notes every month.
Albania also holds weekly auctions of three-month T-bills and auctions six-month and 12-month T-bills twice a month. It holds auction of two-year government securities monthly and every three months it offers five-year T-notes.
