February 28 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Montenegro in January dropped 7% on the year to 22,225, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.
Tourist overnights fell to 69,583 in January from 81,056 in the same month of 2023.
Visitors from Serbia accounted for 22.3% of all overnights in January, followed by tourists from Turkey with a 12.5% share, and Albania with 12.3%.
Seaside resorts attracted 56% of all overnight stays, followed by the capital Podgorica with 25%, mountain resorts with 13% and other resorts with 6%.
