April 30 (SeeNews) - Bosnian lender Nasa Banka [BANJ:PIBB] said on Tuesday it issued 3.377 million marka ($1.9 million/1.7 million euro) worth of seven-year green bonds, below its 4.2 million marka target.
The bank issued 33,770 green bonds, each with a par value of 100 marka, or 80.40% of the offered amount, it said in a bourse filing.
The green bonds carry an interest rate of 5.25%, according to an earlier filing.
The funds raised from the offering will go towards granting loans to private individuals and companies for sustainable development-related projects, specifically prioritising those aimed at reducing CO2 emissions. Projects can include purchase of heat pumps, solar panels, electric cars, and any other activities that lead to a decrease in CO2 emissions, the lender said earlier.
The bank issued 4.2 million marka worth of seven-year green bonds, below its 7 million marka target, in November. The green bonds carried an interest rate of 5.15%.
Nasa Banka's shares last traded on the Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) on December 28, when they closed flat at 0.81 marka.
