May 9 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade bourse closed 0.60% lower at 997.59 points on Thursday, as cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC] paced the blue-chip decliners, bourse data showed.
Metalac closed 1.69% lower at 1,750 dinars in a volume of 125 shares.
At the same time, oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] was the day's only blue-chip gainer, adding 0.11% to 874 dinars. A total of 1,683 NIS shares changed hands generating the day's largest turnover of 1.5 million dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, also fell, closing 0.41% lower at 2,200.83 points.
Total turnover on the Belgrade bourse fell to 3.8 million dinars ($34,900/32,200 euro) on Thursday from 11.4 million dinars on Wednesday. Trading in Treasury bonds accounted for 914,970 dinars of Thursday's turnover.
