April 11 (SeeNews) - The Albanian government said it approved a request by local diverse services provider Desla to build and operate a 3 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant near the port city of Durres.
Desla is required to complete construction works on the solar park and put it into operation within a three-year period, the government said in a statement earlier this week.
The company will operate the plant for 49 years and is required to pay to the government a royalty equal to 2% of the plant’s annual electricity output, as per the statement
The photovoltaic plant will be built on Desla's own land, a company representative, who declined to be identified, told SeeNews.
Desla was established in Durres in 2008. It engages in import-export of industrial and agricultural products, livestock feed, cattle breeding, wholesale and retail meat trade, construction, as well as installation and maintenance of technological systems.
