April 19 (SeeNews) - Albania’s Banka Kombetare Tregtare (BKT) said it has increased its equity capital to $350 million (328.3 million euro), by drawing $50 million of its retained net earnings of 2022.
The share count of Albania's BKT has risen from some 24 million to about 28 million, as reported in documents submitted to the Albanian business registry last month.
BKT also said it has disbursed 4.8 billion leks (47.6 million euro) comprising the remaining portion of its 2022 net profit, amounting to some 1.5 billion leks, and 3.2 billion leks of its 2023 net profit, in dividends to its sole shareholder, Turkey’s Calik Holding.
BKT Albania recorded a net profit of 7.5 billion leks in 2023, documents reveal.
