April 15 (SeeNews) - Albania’s infrastructure ministry said on Monday it has opened tender procedures for a three-year contract for the monitoring of the concession contract implementation of a planned integrated port of the southwestern town of Vlore, under a budget estimated at 67.6 million leks ($716,200/671,700 euro).
The port will be located in the existing Triport fishing port northwest of Vlore and is set to service yachts and fishing boats.
Prospective bidders must be able to monitor compliance, conduct inspections, provide reports, oversee contract provisions, ensure technical, financial, and legal adherence, enforce corrective actions, review project documentation, provide timely decisions, and address violations, the ministry said in tender documents.
In 2022, the government said it had approved a 10-year concession contract with a joint venture between local construction firms Agbes Construction, Besta, Premium Construction&Maintenance, and civil engineering firms ITE Group and Arkon Studio. The total value of the project is seen to amount to around 45 million euro.
Offers for the concession monitoring tender must be submitted until May 22, the ministry noted.
