This seminar is intended for judges, lawyers, national and Community officials and academics wishing to learn more about European judicial cooperation in civil matters, in particular civil procedure law instruments.

This seminar will provide a forum for discussion on the developments in the field of the European civil procedure law, where the scope of Community law has progressively expanded. The focus will be on recent developments and proposals for legislation (taking of evidence, service of documents, European enforcement order, European order for payment, small claims procedure), including the forms and practical explanations of how to use them, as well as relevant case law of the European Court of Justice. Special attention will also be paid to the European Judicial Network in Civil and Commercial Matters.
