The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Albania on Wednesday signed a 14 million euro ($19 million) loan deal to finance part of the upgrade of the country's largest seaport of Durres, the country's Finance Ministry said. The project involves reconstruction of two quays at the port, building an access road to the ferry terminal, reconstruction of associated infrastructure and provision of safety elements for ferry boats.
