March 5 (SeeNews) - Romanian label and packaging printing company Rottaprint said on Tuesday that it achieved a turnover of 35 million euro ($38 million) in 2023, up 10% year-on-year.
Last year, the company also consolidated its position in Germany and Hungary, its main international markets, Rottaprint said in a press release.
Rottaprint focused on enhancing competitiveness, activity consolidation, and environmental impact reduction through investments totalling 2 million euro last year. Approximately 75% of this sum was allocated to equipment acquisitions, with 20% for logistics and 5% for software.
The company manufactured 136 million metres of printed products last year, primarily serving the food, wine, alcoholic beverages, health, and dietary supplements industries.
Looking ahead, Rottaprint plans to bolster its presence in Germany and Hungary in 2024, with a budget of 1.8 million euro earmarked for investments, primarily in equipment and infrastructure.
"This year, we will focus on integrating the technological investments made in 2023 into our production flow and we will continue to invest in developing solutions to help us streamline the operating time for each stage of production, from preparing for printing to finishing and delivery," said Cristi Nechita-Rotta, director general of Rottaprint.
Rottaprint was founded in 1991. It operates two logistics centres in Romania, one in Germany and one in Hungary. The company specialises in producing and selling self-adhesive labels and flexible packaging.
