April 16 (SeeNews) - Cyprus-based Moldovan wine maker Purcari Wineries [BVB:WINE] said on Tuesday that has been maintained in the MSCI Romania Small Cap Index following the quarterly review by stock market index compiler MSCI.
The Romania Small Cap index comprises 26 listed companies, including Purcari Wineries, the company said in a filing to the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB.
In 2023, the wine maker booked a preliminary normalised net profit of 59.6 million lei ($12.7 million/12 million euro), up by an annual 45%, on revenue of 369.5 million lei.
Its shares soared 69% on the Bucharest Exchange Trading Index (BET) Index last year.
Purcari Wineries currently manages around 1,560 hectares of vineyards and operates seven production platforms in Romania, Moldova and Bulgaria. The company is the leader in Romania's premium wines segment, with a market share of 30%, and Moldova's largest wine exporter, delivering to over 40 countries.
Purcari Wineries shares traded 0.53% lower at 15.1 lei per share as of 1252 CET on Tuesday on the Bucharest bourse.
