April 15 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian cables manufacturer Emka [BUL:EMKA] said on Monday that it is proposing to its shareholders to distribute a gross dividend of some 0.084 levs ($0.046/0.043 euro) per share for 2023.
The company plans to pay out as dividend a total of 3.65 million levs out of its net profit of 8.66 million levs reported for last year, Emka said in a bourse filing. The remaining earnings would be retained as undistributed profit.
If approved, the dividend will be distributed starting July 10.
The proposal will be voted upon at a general meeting of shareholders scheduled for May 21.
The company distributed a gross dividend of 34.3 million levs for 2022, or 0.15789 levs per share in cash, as well as 21.7 million levs in the form of new shares to investors.
Shares in Emka last traded on Friday when they closed at 2.06 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, bourse data show.
